Hi All
« on: September 09, 2014, 06:27:06 AM »
I just realized I hadn't joined the forum yet. ::) I have read a few posts from time to time and have enjoyed seeing the enthusiasm some of the members have for the Sero 7. I've had my Sero 7 Pro rooted with xboxexpert's 4.2.1 rom for well over a year now, with no real problems that I did not create myself. Looking forward to an update attempt, including moving more files to sd card after partitioning.

I too just joined the group.  My son has a Sero 7 Pro and likes it.  I've been looking at the Sero 7 LT which would suit my "elderly" needs quite well - well actually I'll share it with the wife. LOL  I saw in some reviews (Wally World) that folks had difficulty with moving things around from ram to sd card and one said you could only move from a PC in and out of the device - not other ways.

I can get a Sero 7 LT on the web for under $50 refurbished.  I also found a "rooted" Kindle Fire locally on Craigs List for the about the same price.  Any opinions on how they compare?  I have cameras on cellphones and standalone ones and not looking for "selfies" much.  Just looking for mobile email, books, magazines, wx radar maybe and similar apps.  Nothing special here.

Anyway, "Hi" all and have a great day,

Hi welcome to the forum!  with Christmas coming you better get two of those tablets-one for your wife to have her own.  Because once you get just one you'll be fighting with each other to use it. Yes, they're that fun.  And you'll find yourself doing more and more with the tablets as time goes on.  So in all honesty, if you have the money you should pick up the sero7 PROs at the discounted price, $115.  You won't be disappointed, my two cents.

We have a forum just for the lite.  I don't know that much about the lt version, but others have added great information there.  Good luck, and have fun!

As far as storage goes, or moving to the sd card - Here's some great information on using the external sd card as the internal sd card, which increases your storage tremendously.
