Chromecast And The Sero 7 / Re: Chromecast

Still on the same sort of subject...does anyone use an MK808 and a tablet in unison together...is there a mirror function in there anywhere?

The MK808 is designed to send not receive. In theory you could connect the MK808 to a TV, miracast it to a device like Netgear Push2TV or a cast ready Blueray or TV then disconnect it and run it wirelessly.

You can't just install the kernel source and install it. If you downloaded a kernel someone has compiled there should be a changlelog with what is working /not working.

50s and 60s is not winter. That is spring. Here in North Dakota we are averaging single digits during the day and single - at night.  We had a quick jump into the 40s then back down. When I lived in Phoenix I remember laughing when I walked into the condo and saw the fireplace. Wasted space. LOL

One thing that I have noticed is the body seems to have levels of tolerance. It actually feels nicer out at 10 degrees and windy then when it is in the 20s and windy. Like at some point you body says " OK it's cold, no big deal."

Using two Pixi systems in parallel would at most, give 2 Amps, which is what the tablet is designed to use.  Remember, these are wimpy cell phone chargers we are talking about here.  The whole idea behind this setup is to solder the charging circuit onto the USB port, so the tablet can use it's built-in regulating circuitry.  Doing so would eliminate the "lithium China Syndrome."  (love that phrase)

Just read the original post again.  The guy with post #4 used the Pixi system we are talking about for his mod.  Unfortunately, he didn't say anything about his charge rate either.   :(

I was talking about the Touchpad charging coils and Touchstone when I mentioned 4 amps. A Touchpad coil and Touchstone is a 2 amp system. They only downside using them is the Touchpad Touchstone is still pretty popular so they can run $25 to $45.

If she was to use the Palm Touchstone it probably won't even charge the tablet unless off. The video just showed the tablet recognizes a charger attached. If you plug in a 5V .5 mAh USB charger it will show a charge state, but will still lose power even in sleep. If she were to use two coils she would need two Palm Touchstones because the Touchstone would not be able to produce enough induction to fully use both of them. This is just induction charging not resonant induction. If she were to try and use two Touchpad coils it might work, except if it did you would be putting almost 4AMP into the battery and you would have a lithium China Syndrome. I don't think you can parallel coils like you would a battery, definitely not just by soldering two into the same points.

It might work on a tablet that can charge from USB and has a charge port. If you could solder a coil to each separately it might work in parallel, but some are set up to not use USB charging when the normal charger is plugged in.

I have been thinking about buying a couple of broken HP Touchpads to pull the coils and use the HP Touchstone Stand. It's 5V 2A.

I could put more than one of the back cover things in it?  ( If there's room)

No i just have a couple of tablets I would like to try it on

Office Max has a Presidents Day sale on the Le Pan mini.

Online Orders Here

Here is a link to the review I did on the Lepanforum.com

The Mini is one of the lightest and thinnest tablets I have owned. Le Pan has always made some of the best aesthetically pleasing tablets.  At $99 it's a steal.

A factory reset has nothing to do with flashing the stock recovery. Factory reset just deletes cache and user data and apps. You would have to flash a stock recovery like you flashed the custom.

Sero 7 Wallpapers and Themes / Re: Live Wallpaper is it an energy drain?

Depending on the Live Wallpaper they will use between 5 to 8 % of a battery over 24 hours. This depends on the wallpaper as well. I used to use the koi pond on some of the older ROMS I released and no on once complained about battery life. Testing, for me, koi was the worst of the bunch. But I think that is because it is interactive. You get bored and can't help but tap a fish or feed them, LOL.

Also depending on apps and hardware setting you can lose charge even with a good stock charger connected. Having Wifi, Bluetooth, and GPS on can double normal charging time. Add apps like news, weather, stocks, or any app that requires or uses frequent updates. These still go on in sleep mode.  Try hitting airplane mode before charging overnight if a new cable doesn't help. If you try another charger make sure it is 5V 2mAh. Less then 2mAh and the tablet will charge slower or lose charge when in sleep.

The easiest next step would be for someone to DD the partitions off of a stock Pro then use fastboot to flash them back on to yours and see what happens. You need recovery.img, boot.img, and system.img. I would pull them but my Sero is on lone to someone thinking about a new tablet.  I do have an edited stock boot.img with just full adb enabled and init.d. It chould work with a CWM recovery so if you want I could upload that and you could at least see if you boot further.

Also if you have flashed Random's recovery, dopa roms won't install, just flash dopa's recovery.

I'm flashing dopa v2.o and the oc and standard kernel with random's swipe cwm. But dopa v1.1 won't flash with it.

2 gives me the same error as one so I just went back to the one that came with dopa
