Sero 7 Apps / Re: The GALLERY app
« on: July 04, 2014, 09:14:37 PM »
I have emailed it to my friend already.

That's strange that it would disappear like that. Like Lucky Me said, you shouldn't be able to delete it if not rooted, but I hope the file I sent you works.

No the tablet is not rooted. An app to allow an iptv stream would not play, as it always tried to open it with Gallery. It required MXPlayer to be the default. The Sero would not default to MXPlayer ( the app only works with MXPlayer) and it continued to go to Gallery. A default manager app was downloaded and MXPlayer made the default...Gallery disappeared. It is now needed for the camera function. The owner does not want to return the Sero to factory default, as he also d/l ann app (Cygic GPS) and this do/l to Sero internal memory. He will lose that $30 paid for app if defaulted to Factory. Since, he has been on to Cygic, and has a guide to move the app to SD Card WITHOUT A ROOT, and will do so. It would have been easier for him to have just loaded the original GALLERY app off of something like googleplay if it were there, but it isn't. It was also interesting to see that this same GALLERY app is on heaps of other android dives, so developers must all get it from somewhere, thinking thus it would not be hard to obtain. I hope this long-winded explanation helps, and I wonder why all the initial apps included in any tablet purchase are not freely available for owners to reload to their android devices? Thanks.
Hi viewer, I would be happy to pm you a link to the gallery app. I have uploaded it from my Sero 7 Pro.

Sero 7 Help / Nfc not working?
« on: June 27, 2014, 12:46:17 AM »
I can't seem to get it to work. I've been trying to get it to send stuff like pictures to my Galaxy S5 phone but it doesn't seem to do anything at all. I can't tell whether the problem is with my phone or the tablet. I'm going to try tap and pay with my phone at a store to make sure it works or not,  but in the event it does work on my phone what do you think could be causing the problem?

Sero 7 Apps / Re: fix youtube?

Found proxy settings by long clicking the network. Set to none and reset youtube to factory. Works good now.

Great. As soon as I reinstalled factory google play, it automatically updates everything I just reset! I seriously hate android...

Awesome, glad you found how to revert the proxy settings.
If you don't want any apps to sync without consent, turn off auto sync on the tablet by going to Settings, Data usage, clicking the top right symbol and unchecking the auto-sync data box. Not only does it save battery life, but it also keeps the tablet from making unwanted changes.

Sero 7 Help / Re: Video Sync Across multiple devices?
« on: February 28, 2014, 07:41:06 PM »
Are you referring to a video your are streaming or one that's saved on a device?

I was wondering for both actually, but if there is a way to do just one of those, that would be great too.

Ok I installed Adblock Plus again and it started doing it again, but I don't think its the app itself.  I think it's actually when I change the proxy settings on the WiFi. I don't know if its the same thing for you. Have you modified anything with the WiFi settings? I just set everything back to the way it was before and everything starts running smoothly again.

I had this same problem, but I can't remember what I did to fix it (sorry not much help). It drove me crazy. Although, know its not the tablet, I remember it being something with the settings of the WiFi or something, maybe even with Adblock. Gah! I wish I could remember. I'll try to make it happen again and let you know if I figure it out.

(Let me know if you use adblock on your tablet)

Sero 7 General Discussions / Re: Sero 7 Pro as an eReader?
« on: February 23, 2014, 05:46:35 PM »
I can usually find the format I need. If not I use one of those online format converters to change it to one the app of my choice can read, but that's rare for me. Especially since Moon+ Reader Pro can read any format I've come across, so I don't really bother doing that anymore.

Sero 7 Help / Video Sync Across multiple devices?
« on: February 22, 2014, 07:24:24 PM »
Anyone know if its possible to watch the same video in the same position on more than one device? Like let's say you want to watch a movie with someone when there is no TV around, but the screen is too small so you wanted to each use your own device and watch the same movie together. Is it possible? Besides finding the same movie on both devices and trying to press play at the same time?

I have been using the free version of Mx player for quite some time and its always met my needs. What extra features does the pro version provide?

There really is no difference between the free and pro version besides no ads. But if you like it a lot it helps the developer if you get the pro version. So, use the free version and see if the developer deserves anything for trying to make your video playing experience better.

Do you not get pop ups while clicking on stuff through the website? If not, how do you have your Ad block set up?

Sent from my Hisense Sero 7 Pro using Tapatalk

Hmm it shouldn't be restricted. Have you made sure the volume on the speaker is all the way up? Once its all the way up you should be able to control how loud you want the music to sound from your tablet. If its not all the way up the tablet will not be able to make it sound louder than what is set on the speaker's volume.

If it says "Raise volume above safe level?" its because it thinks you're wearing headphones and its warning you so you don't damage your hearing, but you can just click ok and it should let you control the volume past that point.

There is this friend of mine at work that has all the same interests as I do. We watched all the same TV shows, listened to all the same music (and know the lyrics), and understand each other's obscure references to things like movies almost no one knows of. Even down to the same YouTube channels we're subscribed to. When I'm leaving work I'll say "Peace on da streets!" and somewhere I'll hear him say "SAAAN!" (PVPeeps will get it). We've only known each other for a short time but we became instant best friends :D
