Screen Standby app
« on: November 18, 2014, 04:08:05 AM »
Now here is an app that makes sense.  Its called screen standby and needs root to work.  This app has a bunch of features but the only one I actually use is the HDMI detector.  I have it set up so that any time I connect my tablet to my monitor/TV via HDMI it auto detects the connection and shuts off the screen of the tablet.  Helps save the battery and the display life.  I love it for movies and any time I'm long connected to the TV.  If you choose to use this app you'll likely need to connect a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard.

I've never understood why that isn't a standard function in any device with an HDMI output.  Seems like a no-brainer to me.   :-\
