Daydream ? It was turned on, now turned off. It then says something about it controlling what happens when the Sero is docked. I'll see what happens, stay tuned !!

Well at least Android doesn't crash now, but no apps will load.

On the up side, apps are running really well, particularly noticeable in Facebook.

I'm running an app that prevents the tablet going to sleep, but allows the screen to dim. I'm happy with that for a while, until I get bored and feel the need to re-flash following your guide above Laura 😉

I bet you thought you got rid of me, don't you? Not yet!

' apps won't load ' what do you mean?

Check and see if you have auto brightness turned on. There is an issue with this in the sero. It should be turned off, unless it's a pre requisite for the app you're using to stop sleep mode.

Never thought that for a minute !

apps won't load as in I tap an icon and nothing happens, unless I tap repeatedly out of frustration, then Android reboots itself but never actually manages to get any further than the DOPA screen, so then I hold down the power button until it shuts down,  so no biggie really lol.

Auto brightness is off, very annoying feature !

really?  Well that's totally not the way the rest of us are enjoying the Sero!  I hope you do decide to give it another try at flashing.  You should be able to use the rom same as out of the box.  Only an updated Operating System.

Try re-downloading the rom before flashing.  Maybe it was corrupt when you flashed it.

Well I've spent the afternoon re-installing KitKat following your instructions Laura, and, so far, I'm not having any problems with sleep mode. It's probably too soon to give a 🙌 yeeeeehaaaa, maybe tomorrow after a bit more testing.

Mega thanks Laura for being persistent with this, I'm in your debt 😁😘

Remember I said the sero works better after rebooting a few times, directly after a new flash?  I hope that has happened to you!

Just a thought, I use Link2SD on most of my apps, could that be causing me the problems I wonder ?. I think I'll unlink all my apps, gotta be worth a try.

Well Link2SD does seem to be the culprit. I've had no problems since I removed the links.

Now, do I try Lollipop again lol, maybe not just yet.

Thanks once again for all your help Laura.

It seems happy with Foldermount though, and appears to be a reasonable alternative to Link2SD

lol after further investigation it would appear that all my problems have been down to a flaky SD card !! I've changed the card, re-linked apps with Link2SD and after much testing, rebooting, leaving in sleep mode, rebooting, testing, sleep mode etc, etc, I appear to have a stable Sero. It's taken a while, but I really feel I've cracked it this time. I just hope I don't live to regret that last sentence lol.
