Hi.Yes, you can root and stick with the stock, that's what I'm doing. I didn't know how easy or difficult it will be to install future updates. I read you can, but some have to re root after the update. ROM toolbox pro does not root. It manages. Apps, backups, app backups, apps and data backups, allows you to tweak the tablet, change fonts, themes, change your boot animation, you can boot into recovery from the app-saving wear and tear on your keys, and SO MUCH more. The more you learn over time, the more of it's features you will use.I suggest you both read up on root and cwm. I personally find cwm awesome and it's needed for installing custom roms. I'll post some screen shots later so you can see.I'll post one of the root process too.You can root without having CWM recovery You'll just keep the stock recovery. This might work better for the two of you, if you have no interest in customs.. Not with the xda package, with a different root app. I use superoneclick root. SUPER easy to use. Google it, CNet has it on their site. I used their download.
