Wipe data clean but keep custom ROM?
« on: March 11, 2015, 08:42:28 AM »
I'm thinking of giving my Sero 7 Pro to one of my sons but want to wipe out all my own stuff first.  I have it rooted and running DOPA 2.61 which I want to leave that way but reset everything else so he can connect it to his Google account etc.  I'm running PhilZ Touch but not sure which wipe option to use - "Wipe User Media" or "Factory Reset"?

I want to wipe all the apps off as part of the process so he can go through the process of loading what he wants and customizing it - I'll teach him about rooting and loading custom ROMs after he has a chance to get used to it.

Any thoughts?

Choose factory reset. This will clear all your accounts,  remove all your downloaded apps and data,  leaving only system apps and the tablet as new user condition.

To wipe out all your stuff on your Sero 7 before you give it to your son, android data eraser program can be your help. With it,  you can delete contents on your Sero 7 without recovery, including contacts, text messages, photos, videos, user names, passwords and all personal info.
